From NICU to Nest: Your Post-NICU Journey Guide
This website was created to ensure you have access to accurate and helpful information to guide you through your post-NICU journey! While there are many excellent resources available (such as With a Baby on the Way, It Was Time to Embrace My Disability, Raising Good Humans, and The Power of Showing Up), there’s also a lot of misinformation and inaccessible information out there.
This website was developed by Abby Hepner, a summer student at Boston Children’s Hospital from Northwestern University, with resources compiled by previous summer student Lucia Rivera. This project is a collaboration with experts across institutions, including Paige Terrien Church, MD (Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Tufts Medical Center), and Rudaina Banihani, MD (Sunnybrook Neonatal Follow-up Clinic), as well as Jane E. Stewart, MD (Boston Children’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). The interdisciplinary team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre — including Nancy Chen, Maureen Luther, Lisa Smuskowitz, Freda Vane, and Natalie Antonacci — played an instrumental role in creating many of the resources provided.
We aim to provide you with reliable, easily accessible information to support you and your baby’s development. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
